Themebench offers a 30-day refund window on every purchase. No questions, no surveys, no "tell us why you are leaving" form. If the theme is not the right fit, email and the refund goes through.
Window
Refund requests must be sent within 30 calendar days of the original purchase date. After 30 days, refunds are not available, because by then the theme has either been used in production or filed away.
How to request
Email hello@themebench.com with the original order email or invoice number. A short confirmation will go out within one business day. The refund itself is issued to the original payment method via Stripe.
How long it takes
Refunds are processed within 3 to 5 business days of the request. Stripe usually returns the funds to the customer card within a few days after that, but the exact timing depends on the issuing bank. Bank holidays and weekends do not count.
What a refund means for the license
Issuing a refund cancels the license. After a refund is issued, the theme files should be removed from any production site, and the license key is deactivated. Continuing to use a Themebench theme on a live site after receiving a refund is a violation of the Terms.
Bundles
Bundles can be refunded in full within 30 days. Partial refunds for a bundle (refund one or two themes out of the bundle but keep the rest) are handled case by case. The default is a clean full refund of the bundle price, with the bundle license deactivated. If a partial refund is preferable, mention it in the email and a fair amount will be calculated based on the individual theme prices.
What is not refundable
Custom work, custom modifications, or paid support sessions purchased separately are not refundable, since the time spent on them cannot be returned. This only applies if a one-off paid service is ever offered. Standard theme and bundle purchases are always refundable inside the 30-day window.
Chargebacks
Chargebacks bypass the refund flow and cost time on both sides. If something is wrong with an order, email first. Refunds happen quickly. Chargebacks issued without a prior email may result in license revocation and an account being declined for future purchases.
