the texture is subtle. it had to be. one wrong move and the whole template goes etsy. kiln uses a paper-grain background at very low opacity and a soft warm palette that reads as cared-for, not twee.
big quote blocks anchor most pages. clients, recipes, manifestos, take your pick. the type is generous. nothing scrolls on rails. the pace is slow on purpose.
i wrote kiln for the agency that defines itself by craft. the kind of shop that still answers the phone. the kind that writes proposals in a typeface they care about. the template should not feel like a startup landing page. it should feel like the studio.
